Story
The founders of fortysecond space are a brother, a sister, and a cousin who have lived a significant part of their adult lives in Europe. For years, they talked about opening an art gallery and finding ways to gradually return to their home country. When Arnaud, the designer, and his family decided to permanently move to Rwanda, they thought it was the perfect time to realize their projects.
When they moved to Brussels, in Belgium, their families lived in the same house located at 42, Place du Châtelain in Ixelles. They believe that this was a starting point, just as this business is a starting point for something new. The term 'space' is commonly used in interior design.
Arnaud, the passionate art and interior design enthusiast, never took classes or worked for a company in this field. He developed his style by studying on his own for years, designing pieces for his home, family, and friends. Today, the company believes it is time to share their vision with a wider audience.
