k'tsobe

fashion jewelry art and craft

Description

K'tsobe is a brand of timeless jewelry made from a variety of materials such as silver and brass, as well as natural materials such as Jacaranda seed bark and wood, founded by Sarah Legrand. The jewelry draws inspiration from nature, Rwandan symbols, and various cultures from around the world. The pieces are primarily handmade and some are crafted using the lost-wax technique. What makes them unique is their combination of architectural, organic, and tribal elements.

After a successful career in modeling, Sarah Legrand returned to her childhood dream and pursued her passion for jewelry-making at the "Institut des Arts et Métiers" in Brussels, Belgium. Through her studies, she created her brand "K'tsobe," a nod to her maternal origin, Abatsobe. The Abatsobe were the guardians of seeds and the esoteric code of Rwanda. Her sources of inspiration come from her mixed Belgian-Rwandan heritage, her sensitivity, nature, and the symbols of different cultures she has encountered during her travels around the world.

K'tsobe's greatest desire is for its jewelry to accompany its customers in their daily lives, revealing their uniqueness and emotions. The pieces are an expression of the wearer's personality, and the brand strives to create jewelry that is both beautiful and meaningful.

Philosophy

K'tsobe draws its inspiration from African cultures and traditions to create unique jewelry. The creations skillfully incorporate references to the history of the continent, particularly that of Rwanda. With a remarkable touch of innovation, they bring creativity to accessories and fashion trends.

K'tsobe flourishes by drawing inspiration from nature. Most of the jewelry is carefully handcrafted, using various materials such as silver, brass, and natural elements like Jacaranda seed bark and wood, which are manipulated based on their properties. A considerable effort is also made to promote eco-friendly choices.
